"Roof and wall work first, timed around Collingwood's long, snowy winters."
transformation,
one team.
Full home renovations in Collingwood: an open-concept main floor, a second storey addition or new flooring throughout. Our Barrie crew has 600+ projects behind it since 2018 and keeps dust contained and the site safe for children and pets.
What We OfferA home renovation in Collingwood starts with a plan for the whole house: which walls come out, which rooms change, whether a second storey goes on, and what outside work must close in before winter. One project manager runs every phase.
Top to bottom
Your whole home gets redone, foundation to roof, by one team on one timeline. You have one point of contact, and we manage all the trades and details.
Walls come down
For a more open main floor, we handle permits, structural engineering and the work itself: walls come out, beams go in, and the rooms flow.
Expand upward
We handle the build, the permits and full architectural drawings in-house when you need a dormer, an addition or a second story for extra room.
Bundle & save
Doing more than one room? Run the kitchen and bathroom as one project with us and you get better pricing, a faster timeline and finishes that match.
Unified foundation
Tile, LVP, engineered or hardwood goes in consistently across the house. We line up each threshold and work out the transitions for one cohesive look.
Every detail
To tie renovated rooms into everything else in your home, we give each surface a refresh: lighting, paint, hardware, doors and trim.
Why Choose UsOne team, one call
No juggling contractors. Your dedicated project manager coordinates all trades, schedules, and communication. One number to call, one person accountable.
Efficient timelines
Because the trades are lined up efficiently, work doesn't sit idle and you're home sooner. A full home renovation usually takes 8-12 weeks.
No subcontractor chaos
Our own crews handle plumbing, electrical, drywall and paint, so coordination improves, quality is consistent, and someone answers for each task.
Concept to completion
Architectural drawings, 3D renders, material selection, and construction, all under one roof. We design it, we build it.
We handle city hall
Inspections and permits for building, electrical and plumbing work go through us. We see each approval through, and you skip the trips to a municipal office.
Stay or relocate
Your living situation shapes the plan. We can phase the work while you stay, or arrange a temporary place to live if you need one.
It all goes to one project manager.
Done in 8-12 weeks on average.
Our own crews, no subcontractors.
We design it, we build it.
Leave all permits & inspections to us.
Stay or relocate: we help you plan.

Contact us to check availability →FAQIn Collingwood, additions and opened walls add drawing costs before construction: an addition over 400 square feet needs a stamped grading plan, and a removed wall needs a designed LVL beam on the permit drawings. Both appear as their own lines in the quote.
A typical whole-house job takes 8 to 16 weeks of construction, once the Zoning Certificate and building permit are in hand. In Collingwood the season also shapes the schedule, because outside work has to be closed in before the snow belt winter sets in.
Usually, and some houses need two. Structural work goes through a building permit, which Collingwood only accepts after a Zoning Certificate. A house in the Downtown Heritage Conservation District, or a designated one elsewhere, also needs a Heritage Permit before any exterior alteration, painting and window replacement included. We apply for both and book the inspections.
Ask how they would handle the parts specific to Collingwood: a Heritage Permit if your house is in the downtown district or designated, and outside work timed to finish before the snow. Beyond that, ask for proof of WSIB coverage and insurance and a quote broken down by item. We hold a licence, insurance and WSIB coverage, and serve Collingwood from our Barrie headquarters.

That depends on the house and what you need from it, and we can't give you a market figure. A renovation changes the layout, space and finishes of the house you already have, on the lot you chose, and a second storey can add room without leaving the street.

By building up or opening up. A second storey adds rooms on top of the house, and taking out walls joins small rooms into one open main floor. Both are part of our whole-home work, and both need drawings before the permit.

Design, permits, trades and the schedule. On our jobs that means the plans and 3D renders, the Zoning Certificate, building permit and any Heritage Permit, the licensed trades, and one project manager sending daily updates until the walkthrough.

The Town asks for the beam design rather than naming who draws it. For a whole-house job, its permit page for interior alterations wants framing details on the plan of each floor plus LVL beam designs, so every wall that comes out is drawn with its beam before we file.
People also ask
Yes, if the house is in the Downtown Heritage Conservation District or carries a heritage designation outside it. Collingwood requires a Heritage Permit before any exterior alteration on those properties, and it names painting and window replacement as alterations.

Yes. Collingwood's zoning allows up to three additional residential units on a residential or rural lot, for up to four dwelling units in all, and legal suites are part of our work. Building one into a whole-house job means its layout and separations are planned along with everything else.

Good to KnowIn Collingwood, the drawings can be a real line in the quote. An addition over 400 square feet needs a grading plan carrying the stamp of a professional engineer, engineering technologist or Ontario land surveyor, prepared alongside the architectural drawings. Opening walls means the Town's interior alteration permit wants framing details and LVL beam designs on the floor plans, so the beam is designed before the application. Past those, the price follows the rooms, the flooring and the finishes you pick, each itemized on the quote that comes after a free consultation.
The first filing on a whole-house job is a Zoning Certificate, which Collingwood requires before any residential building permit application. If the house sits in the Downtown Heritage Conservation District, or carries a heritage designation outside it, the Town also wants a Heritage Permit before any change to the exterior. That covers painting and window replacement too, so we get the permit before outside work goes on the schedule.
Collingwood is in the snow belt, and lake effect snow lasts most of the winter, which sets the order of a whole-home job. Anything that opens the roof or the walls, such as a second storey or new windows, goes first while the weather allows. Flooring, kitchens, bathrooms and paint follow once the house is closed in, and a spring start gives the outside phases the most room.
Collingwood is served from our Barrie headquarters, and the work is led by Max, the owner, and his father, Roman. You start with a free consultation and measure, then an itemized quote with 3D renders, then selections inside the budget. During the build one project manager sends daily updates, and after handover we tour the house together and check in at the 30-day mark. Kathleen Rusk, who had a bathroom done in a 150-year-old century home, described the team as punctual and "someone who kept their word."
